Units to Support French as a Second Language 9Y - Grades 4-6

This resource provides grades 4 to 6 French as a Second Language teachers with lessons and units to support target language use, student engagement and functional communication in French. The learning activities and assessment tasks are aligned with curriculum and reflect the overarching goal “to develop students who are sufficiently competent in French so that they can function in the language and culture outside the confines of the classroom” (Alberta Education, 2004, p. 8).
