Reading-related Outcomes from the English Languages Arts Program of Studies 2003 English 10-1, 10-2

This document contains some of the specific learning outcomes containing elements of reading from the Alberta English Language Arts Program of Studies (2003). These outcomes are intended to be demonstrated with end-of-grade level texts.

The Introduction to the program of studies for English Language Arts explains the understandings about language and literacy that are the basis for the general and specific outcomes. The outcomes in this document should be read in the context of the overall Introduction at the beginning of the program of studies and the introductions at the beginning of each general outcome.
