This optional resource was designed to provide French as a Second Language teachers of Grade 10 to Grade 12 with performance assessment tasks to support target language use, student engagement and functional communication in French. Each performance assessment task is aligned with curriculum and reflects the overarching goal “to develop students who are sufficiently competent in French so that they can function in the language and culture outside the confines of the classroom” (Alberta Education, 2004, p. 8).
Please note that resources suggested in this document have been reviewed by Division staff against the criteria of the GI.AR Teaching and Learning Resources. It is the responsibility of teachers to determine if a particular resource is appropriate for their students.
